“I wanted to portray vibrant young women of the twenty-first century to oppose the stereotype of engineers as middle-aged white males with pocket protectors. The tag line ‘invent the future’ speaks to young women and minorities who seek a career in which they can ‘make a difference.’ I used bright colored type to carry out the ‘engineering in color’ theme.”
